HIGHnet HIGHperventilators raise over £700 for the Highland Hospice
7th OCTOBER 2009
Four members of HIGHnet staff teamed together to compete in the Baxter’s Loch Ness 10K Corporate Challenge on 4th October. Competing against other companies, David Alldritt (Technical Director), Katrina Macleod (Network Provisioning Director), Keith Masson (Billing Manager) and Jennifer Nicol (Marketing Manager) posted a cumulative time of 3 hours 57 mins placing them in....drum roll.... 22nd place (out of 35 teams)!
As well as for personal achievement (three of the four had never run long distance before), the aim was to raise as much as they could for HIGHnet’s chosen charity, Highland Hospice. Highland Hospice is the only hospice serving adults with incurable life limiting disease in the Highlands of Scotland and is acknowledged as the centre of specialist palliative care expertise in the region.
Laura Cruickshank (Provisioning Administrator) also joined in the race to raise money for the team running the 5K. All together, HIGHnet staff have raised over £700 for the Hospice, with more donations still to be collected. If you would like to congratulate the team for their hard work and aching muscles, the online donation page is still open at www.justgiving.com/HIGHnet-Fundraising.
