OnAir Inflight Mobile
18th DECEMBER 2009
You can now use your mobile phone whilst travelling on an aircraft with specialist operator, OnAir. The service allows users to make and receive calls and text messages during the flight. All you need is a phone which uses 1800MHz, which is usually available on dual band (or greater) handsets. 3G devices will need to be configured to search for both GSM and 3G signals. Several airlines have signed up to OnAir, including British Airways and Ryanair, however the service will only be available on selected aircrafts and routes (for a full up-to-date list visit www.onair.aero).
