Founded in 1994 by Flora Siegel, Highland Network Ltd was set up to offer innovative and groundbreaking least cost telephone call routing services in the Highlands of Scotland. The ability for businesses to use anyone other than BT for their voice calls was a first in the Highlands. The savings achieved, coupled with the high level of customer service meant that customer demand for our service was massive.

The success of the penetration into the Highlands led to us expanding territory firstly into Grampian region and following quickly on with the whole of Scotland being covered by our growing professional sales team. To reflect this growth, we rebranded as HighNet in 2000, and after purchasing of our own billing platform in 2001, we have grown to become Scotland's leading business telecommunications provider, offering a wide range of voice and data solutions.
