Utilises two ADSL lines to increase uptime and resilience for customers running business critical services over IP. It is based on primary and secondary services which are connected by two different pre-configured routers. The two services are provided by different network operators whenever possible, meaning if one provider’s network or exchange equipment has a problem the other will still be available (selected from Tiscali, Cable and Wireless or BT).

Each line has its own standard single management WAN IP address and also has a separate range of routed public LAN IPs, therefore the same IP range can be sent to both routers. Customers can choose from 4 or 8 IP addresses in an internet facing mode, and more in a VPN facing environment.

In the event of a line failure the secondary line will take over the traffic usually within a few seconds. Any ADSL lines can be used as part of this solution. The service is simple to order and both the hardware and the network is pre-configured.

This service is ideal for customers who require the maximum availability for their data services. It is the first Service Level Agreement (SLA) for VoIP services available for our customers.

EB:SA is an engineered broadband service provided over LLU lines, perfect for voice services, and the engineered element makes it ideal for shared voice and data. It guarantees symmetric, 1:1 contended bandwidth, allowing you to plan usage for high priority applications such as voice. We provide two flavours of EB: SA; 1000 which provides symmetric speeds of up to 1MB, and 2000 which provides symmetric speeds of up to 2MB.
